Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a Special Education teacher in a title one school. Most of my students depend on visual routine and function better with an organized space and sensory classroom items.
As a first year Special Education teacher, I am building up my classroom to provide a warm and welcoming environment for my students.
Most of my students do have IEPs and sensory needs so I am wanting to provide that for them with your help.
For my classroom we use a lot of visual prompts and a daily visual schedule to go through our school day, and I am constantly making new visuals for new students coming in that I would find it helpful to have our own laminator and printer for our classroom. The LED lights & sensory books my students will benefit from using those in our cozy corner that I am in the process of setting up with some new sensory books for them to enjoy.
I would also like to use the shelf to better organize there IEP folders, and data sheets we use for each students.
