Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's the simple things, such as including a list of words with the focus phonics pattern written in a different color marker. So simple, yet so effective. I love utilizing chart paper for each of my reading groups. We chart words together at the introduction of a new phonics pattern, and then we review the charts we created together at subsequent sessions, for review. I use post-it notes to label each page of the chart to each reader or reading group.
It's the simple things, such as a chart containing a list of words, previously learned, and now reviewed.
