Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The only care that some students will receive will be from the school nurse. We are usually the first responders to minor aches and pains, serious illnesses, and emergencies that occur at school. Students need the supplies to keep them healthy, a safe environment to learn in, and a visually pleasing clinic to receive services.

A visually pleasing clinic will allow students to recover, relax, and return to class.

My goal as the school nurse is to provide the students, staff, and teachers excellent care that is pleasing, evidence based, and exemplary. The requested water jug, exam table paper are items that will help address the minor injuries. The anatomy models will provide visualization and explanation of a normal functioning body. As a nurse, I know this starts with visualization and appearance.

The students are kind, loving, and resilient, even the ones with the tough exterior. I am always striving to be the school nurse providing holistic, student-centered care that positively impacts a students academic success, mental health, and overall well-being.
