The students in our kindergarten class are curious, engaging and enjoy sharing their work with their peers. Science, art, and math are subjects that our class seems to most enjoy. I love to share real life examples during instruction, which often requires magnifying educational material and student classwork. A recent example involved a temperature change using a thermometer in cool and warm temperature. If we had a multi-function document camera with a magnifier, the teacher could magnify specific educational material such as viewing the changes in the thermometer. This device allows all students to clearly participate and engage in the lessons and share pride in their classwork.
My Project
The Epson DC-21 document camera would allow my students to visually engage in our science and math lessons during demonstrations of educational material. It would further allow students to view many small items presented in science experiments and when using math manipulatives during teacher instruction. Finally, many of our students enjoy reading books and showing their classwork to their peers. These activities builds student confidence, speaking skills, and pride in their classwork. I would like to utilize this document camera in most of my lessons to allow my students a visually and engaging experience.
