My Students
A typical day in my classroom is filled with excitement, laughter, movement, and lots of learning! We are always looking for new ways to help each other grow and learn and my students turn into little teachers themselves. My students are always so excited to share a new way of learning and to help others.
This is where access to a document camera would come in very helpful.
My students are always excited to learn and work hard every day. Unfortunately, our school does not have the funds for "extra" classroom technology. Our school is a high poverty school and we have to use our school funds on other classroom needs. Our parents are hard working families that want the very best for their children. They want their children to succeed academically and emotionally!
My Project
"In a quick summary, a “DOCUMENT CAMERA” or “VISUAL PRESENTER” is a digital teaching tool that will allow my students and I to display and share a much wider range of information to the whole class and bring lessons to life!" Student will be able to share their works with the class to help model and teach students to grow from one another.
With the use of the document camera, I can project and enlarge any object from which my students can learn.
This piece of technology can be used with every subject lesson I teach. We can enlarge items found in nature for science, we can display students' work to provide academic feedback to one another, and students can become teachers in the class too.
Enlarging an object can improve students’ understanding of a concept, increases curiosity and reinforces teaching points. It is also helpful with behavior because I will no longer have to pass objects or items around.
