My Project

Our students work hard, every day. One of our school themes is "We do hard things!" For many students, learning is more than complex, it is a serious struggle! Learning disorders affect the individual child and their siblings, classmates, and friends. For others, learning gaps from our time during Covid continue to exist and for some, widen.

The iPad requested in this project will help me show the students a video of a concept or idea, or create a 3D geometrical object to develop a better understanding of the principle of volume and area.

We are making tremendous progress in our growing intervention program and the results are impressive. I want to nurture their minds by using the iPad to make teaching more engaging for my students through various learning apps and connecting to lesson content. As just one example, students will be able to create geometric shapes on the iPad and then calculate area, perimeter, and volume in 3D. The colorful math posters will be a source of ready references when we struggle to understand a math concept.

Our school has been fortunate to have had multiple DonorsChoose projects funded and the materials have made a tremendous difference in the quality of the education they receive. Our school puts students first and supplies everything we need to be highly successful. But sometimes teachers individually identify things that would improve the delivery of their instruction and the student's educational experience. We greatly appreciate every single dollar that has been contributed to making our projects come to life!
