My Project

As we have developed our new inclusion program at our school, we have learned that many of our students strongly benefit from visual support in the classroom. Our students have recently received a printer through the generosity of Donorschoose donors. Now, we are hoping that we can replenish critical supplies that will allow us to create visual supports throughout our classroom.

Throughout our school day, we plan to use these materials to create hands-on learning materials that are accessible and engaging for all our learners.

Many of our students who are multilingual or have exceptionalities benefit from additional visual support during lessons. Being able to provide them with these learning materials is essential for creating an inclusive learning environment.

New ink for our color printer, velcro, and lamination sheets will enable us to create individualized visual schedules that students can manipulate to help them understand their individualized tasks and routines. Additionally, we will be able to create vocabulary word walls that would serve as visual anchors posted throughout the room for our multilingual learners to reference. In other lessons, we can create manipulatives that students can utilize to demonstrate their understanding. Having these materials will also enhance our students' abilities to communicate through the use of communication boards.

Expo markers, flip chart markers, glue sticks, and multicultural crayons will help us differentiate our instruction by providing crucial visual support! As we work to create engaging and motivating lessons in our inclusion program, I know that these materials will be able to support our students' learning. Ink, velcro, lamination sheets, and crafting supplies will help us create essential tools that will enable our students to access the curriculum in an engaging and interactive way!
