Help me give my students a higher quality educational experience by purchase of a color printer for students who are highly impacted by their disabilities for the purpose of creating personalized visual schedules and communication cards.
My class comprises of students with disabilities, most of which are on the spectrum. My students thrive on routines and familiarity. They learn best when provided visual supports. My students touch the hearts of all. They are the purest of heart.
My Project
My students are a part of an adapted curriculum class where they learn functional vocational skills along with independent living skills. Most of my students are on the spectrum and rely heavily on visual supports. The purchase of a color printer will allow for the creation of personalized visual picture schedules and communication cards. Our class also runs a coffee shop for staff to learn vocational skills. While all teachers have access to a black/white copier, using this form does not adequately support real life transfer. Completion of this project will allow my students to continue to learn functional skills needed to become independent adults.
