My Project
I adore my students for their boundless curiosity, joyful spirits, and the unique ways each one communicates—even when words are limited. These amazing learners, many of whom are nonverbal or minimally verbal, greet every new activity with bright eyes and open hearts. Their resilience and determination inspire me daily: they persevere through challenges, celebrate every success, and remind me how meaningful it is to connect with each child on their own terms.
With your support, we’ll transform ordinary classroom materials into multisensory learning tools they can explore independently:
• Copy paper & cardstock will let us craft colorful visual cards—symbols for daily routines, choice boards, and targeted lessons—that tap into their strengths as visual learners.
Laminator + pouches ensure these visuals withstand enthusiastic handling, finger taps, and repeated use, so students can interact with schedules and matching activities without worry.
• Velcro dots make every card a hands-on activity: learners can attach and remove icons to show choices, build simple sentences, and follow step-by-step sequences, strengthening fine-motor skills and giving them a sense of agency.
Together, these resources will give each child a durable, tactile bridge to understanding—and celebrating—their world with confidence, independence, and joy.
