My Students

I teach a combined 103 7th and 8th grade students in middle school science and family/consumer science. Each of my students has great potential and a wide variety of abilities. A lot of my students are English Language Learners meaning English is not their first language and I also have plenty of special education students as well.

This presents some amazing challenges and wonderful opportunities for growth.

Each student has challenges that caused them to struggle last year, but they showed so much growth in their personalities, how they handle challenges, and in learning the integrated science classes I teach.

My students have a no quit mentality and I want to help foster even more growth in my students this year. They showed so much compassion towards me last year and in turn I want to repay that debt to them. LET'S DO THIS!

My Project

These supplies with help bring Earth Science to life for my students. They will be able to see, touch, smell, and feel rocks like never before. Even though taste is one of my students senses it will be recommended that they do not taste the rock samples lol.

My students will use all the materials to better learn about the Earth as a whole.

My students will hold mineral and rock samples that being in Hawaii they normally wouldn't be able to have contact with. The large tv monitor will bring science videos to life with better quality images and sound.

This all is to help get and keep my students back in face to face learning in my classroom. The more samples I have and the better the visuals and sound, the more engaged and joyful my students will be.
