This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having math problems visible for all students is crucial in getting them to understand the processes of solution and application. Working through the math problem on the board is difficult because all the students to the right of my back can not see the process through me and then are only able to see the work once I have completed the process and they get the final product. It also is difficult to teach from the board when my back is to the class to keep the engagement up, the students on task and behaviors under control.

Having the writing pad will allow for me to teach from around the room, work through the problems as I am directing individual students, as well as use proximity to ensure engagement and understanding.

The pencils and pencil dispenser will allow for an easy and accessible way to store and have pencils readily available for students as we work through the math problems. The wipes will help to keep my side whiteboards and small group collaboration white boards clean after student use.
