This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm working with wonderful fifth graders. They are curious and absolutely enjoy learning. Some of my students are kinesthetic learners, others are auditory learners, but all of my students can identify themselves as visual learners. They love completing and showing their writing to the rest of the class, for feedback. It would be very cool if they could zoom in closely, and everyone in the class could get a clear view of their writing. I am requesting a document camera which will be used daily during instruction to help students learn skills being modeled through the camera. The document camera will also help our students improve their strategies and skills in reading and writing.

The document camera would allow me to demonstrate learning in a visual way that would allow all students accessibility and engagement through the learning process.

It would also be wonderful to be able to project reading passages and highlight important parts to the students. We do not always have enough books, so this would be a wonderful addition to our reading lessons.
