My Students

As a first year kindergarten teacher, I have entered the teaching profession in an abnormal form, making it more challenging due to having such limited income to get the resources needed to support my students through virtual learning. Can you imagine how our little ones feel? Entering school for the very first time in an abnormal way? Although, we are entering the school year in an abnormal form, I want to provide my students a virtual learning experience that is full of magical resources that still gives the ability to learn at home that will be forever remembered. What counts is being able to provide a successful learning regardless if it is continuation of distance learning or entering in a face-to-face.

My students comes from a Title I public school, and about 60% percent of my students receive free or reduced cost lunch.

Given no option, my kindergartners have entered the school year seeing their classmates and their teacher through an iPad screen. With just a screen in front of them, I also want to be able to provide visual hands on materials that can be used to enhance their learning abilities at home.

My Project

As a first year teacher, I am learning everyday how to support each student in my classroom. One of the main strategies is providing resources and tools within the classroom. Kindergarten is an amazing grade, but it requires many learning resources and strategies.

In this project, Visual Learning Supports All Learners , I am requesting a funding for Lakeshore Classroom Management System, Literacy Centers Management, and All About Letters Pocket Chart.

With visual learning resources for my classroom such as pocket charts, my goal is to use visual tools to support students learning in the classroom environment.
