My Students

My students absolutely love using more technology in the classroom. One way to quickly add more technology and to make the class engaging is to get a class subscription to BrainPop, an interactive website with animated videos, activities, and quizzes!

The majority of my students are Spanish speakers that come from families with great financial needs.

About 70% of students at the school where I work are English Language Learners (ELLs), and about 98% of all the students receive free and reduced-price lunch. My students are 75 enthusiastic and curious fifth graders who want to learn and be engaged and challenged on a daily basis!

My Project

I am requesting a one-year class subscription to an interactive website called BrainPop. This website is an excellent digital resource with lots of animated videos supporting all content areas for students. The characters in the videos introduce new topics and illustrate complex concepts, so it is an excellent visual way to preview, learn, or review new information with my English language learners. The website also has interactive activities and quizzes that would help engage all the students while providing the necessary support for visual learners.

Science and social studies classes are very challenging for my ELLs.

With this amazing digital resource, my students will be able to comprehend and learn new material in a fun and engaging way.
