Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the past six years, I have made it my mission to educate students about the various forms they may encounter language or persuasive messages within the real world, particularly visual communication. Each of my units includes a technological component that challenges students to enhance their computer skills by creating infographics, videos, advertisements, and presentations that build their digital literacy and analysis skills.
The iPad (with keyboard) shall be used in the classroom to assist students to create more effective products that demonstrate a mastery of essential state standards and skills.
The iPad will also allow for quick and easy access to more extensive graphic design programs and video-editing tools that are not available on their school-issues laptops. The two additional items listed in this project will help students brainstorm product ideas and better organize their work before starting the digitization process.
