Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting fat quarter sets to give my students a choice of diverse fabrics that coordinate without having to buy complete yardage. Fat quarters are the perfect way to get lots of designs without lots of fabric. The fat quarters we have chosen will be used in quilts and key fobs that my students are making.
Quilting is a great way to learn visual arts and choosing colors that will coordinate.
My students are excited about the new quilts they will be making with the material we have requested. With the scraps we have left over they will be making key fobs. We try not to waste anything and use all of the resources that we have in our grasps.
