Visual Art Projector for My ELL Students!

My students need a new projector to work with our existing Elmo for classroom demonstration and instruction in the art room.

My Students

I instruct visual art in a diversified population of students, inner city setting, which requires the use of strong visual step-by-step instruction.

Without a projector to attach to our Elmo, teaching students who are English Language Learners has become increasingly difficult without a visual aid.

Our school has a diversified population of students with various ethnic backgrounds, and the success of my instruction is dependent on the technology needed to reach these students.

My Project

Students rely on my step-by-step instruction, but because my previous projector has a broken drive cord prong stuck inside, I have been unable to effectively provide instruction to reach every child. I have noticed a difference in their ability to complete assignments, and part of their success in learning English is reinforced in the art room through the use if these types of technologies.

By getting a new projector, I will once again have the ability to speak and show the steps needed for each project and effectively reach all types if learners within my classroom.

I expect that through providing this instruction it will also assist students in progressing in other areas of their academics by reinforcing their language skills.
