Visual Aids and Sensory Friendly

Help me give my students a classroom that have visual aids, sensory friendly, and have reduced distractions.

My Project

Visual aids are requested to address the needs of students in the Autism program. Students in the Autism program are uniquely responsive to visual stimuli and will greatly benefit from pictorials, visual schedules, posted rules, calendars, individualized social stories, emotional regulation charts, behavioral charts, and other visual classroom posters.

Cardstock paper, ink cartridges, and lamination pouches will be used to create visual aids and social stories for the learning environment.

The classroom set of headphones are great tools that will support small group activities and independent instruction during the academic day. Noise cancelation headphones are also helpful tools that reduce over stimulation from everyday sounds that are often overwhelming for ASD students in the classrooms. These needed supplies will help with providing a learning environment that address the unique sensory needs, that is conducive to learning, and meets the social and emotional needs of the students.
