My Students

My Choral Students are active and inquisitive. They are on a solid path to becoming independent musicians with strong aural skills and good musical instincts. The students work very hard and push themselves on a daily basis. They make loud mistakes and own their accomplishments. My general music students love music, but don't want to be on stage in performance. They work hard in class, write their own songs, come up with their own rhythms, and surprise me on a regular basis.

Each musician wants to push their own individual boundaries to be better.

They are becoming independent musicians.

My Project

My students have a beautiful space. We have room to move, work in groups, and adjust to growing class sizes. What we lack is the ability to effectively project visual aids. Our SmartBoard is great, but it can't be seen from the back of the room.

This large LED tv will allow all my students to see the projected material easily.

As we dissect specific musical passages or work with PDFs that depict new concepts, being able to see the items is essential. I also have several students that, even with corrective lenses, need an enlarged projection.

I will use all available technology to improve their learning and their ability to see the notation, which will allow my visual learners to get a firmer grasp of more difficult concepts and ideas. I want to give my students every opportunity to better their musicality and musical instincts.
