Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students who attend my school are from extremely low income households. Many cannot afford clothes or glasses. Many of my students cannot see and don't come forward to be able to see the board.

My students are extremely funny, smart, caring students who have a ton of grit.

My wish is that the carpet will encourage my students to come forward and learn to the best of their ability. With this carpet, I know my students will be more capable of learning.

My Project

This carpet will allow my students who cannot see well come forward to the front of the room comfortably. Right now, my students cannot afford to get corrective lenses so they cannot see the board. My hope is that the carpet will make it more inviting and fun to come to the front in order to see the board.

Most of the content in my class requires a projector and most of my students cannot see even if they are sitting in the front row.

This one single carpet will help the learning and the lives of over 100 children.
