My Project
The use of technology is becoming more vital in my third grade classroom. Students not only need to be able to find information, they also must use technology to create and deepen their understanding and learning. After learning more about John Hattie's work with visible learning, it has become clear that students need opportunities to take on the role of leader in their education.
Students need the resources to create, explore, and engage in rigorous learning across all academic areas.
Students will use the iPad minis to use apps like Epic and SeeSaw to grow as literacy experts. With these iPads, students can create digital portfolios, have safe digital interactions with one another, research to solidify their learning, and represent their thinking in a variety of ways including video creation, voice recording, photographing their work, or a combination. The cases help keep the tablets safe when little learners get too excited about their learning!
