Virtually Tripping Through the World

Help me give my students Oculus Go Glasses for Virtual Field Trips that will enhance our reading and writing program by expanding our worldly knowledge.

My Students

My first-grade students are growing up in a world of technology. My class is located in a rural part of the state. Seventy five percent of my students are living at or below poverty level. Many of my students have never been outside of our small community. I want my students to experience the world outside of our community. I want them to be global leaders when they grow up. One of my responsibilities is to teach my student to be reader and critical thinkers about what they are reading. This grant is designed teach my students about the world outside of our community.

Help us open the world of learning through Virtual Field trips with Oculus Go Glasses.

This grant will open my students world by allowing them to travel to different parts of the world and explore through virtual field trips by using Oculus Go glasses. Oculus glasses will open my students world to help them better understand the books they are reading. We can visit zoos, countries, and far away places. The possibilities are endless. Students will learn about the world in their books.

My Project

My students do not have many chances to travel outside of our tiny community. These Oculus Go Glass will help my students learn about he world outside of our school. Students can learn about the animals we read about by visiting a zoo, travel to China to explore the Great China Wall, or explore a working farm like in the book Charlotte's Web. You ask why these glasses are so special. Well these glass make Virtual Field trip easier because they are all self contained. We do not need to use a cell phone to view through the glass.

Oculus Go glasses are standalone Virtual Reality glasses that require not additional devices to run that allows students a 360 degree view of the world.

Students can view endless number of videos and movies to enhance our reading a writing. We can expand our view of the world with these glasses. We really need these glasses to explore the world.
