My students attend a small district that stands behind traditions and a small community that comes together in good times and bad. They don't get the benefits of bigger schools like a variety of electives. They also don't get the technology other districts have because the funding just isn't there. Although they lack the benefits of bigger schools, they understand how there are no excuses once they leave here and continue their education. They fight hard in class, in their sports, and all extracurricular activities. These students are special to me because they never stop believing they are the best and nothing will get in their way.
My Project
For many students, reading a trade book is a challenge. Being able to allow the students to view the movie version of a classic book is vital for students learning. Now that students are virtual, I need to be able to stream the movies. I have already purchased a MacBook Air but need the accessories to share the movies with my students. This will work from school and home. The first set of stories we will read are "Of Mice and Men" and "Death of a Salesman. " Both of these classics have movies that are exactly like the book.
