Virtual Teaching and Learning

Help me give my students a world class virtual education. Each of these items will help to create quality lessons that allows students to view texts and allows me to model learning on screen for them.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of fifth grade students. They are quick witted, active, inquisitive, and goal oriented. The students work together as a team and encourage each other to be their best. They are learning to be great conversationalists, as well as, strong readers, writers and mathematicians.

My students are hungry for knowledge and eager to learn.

They enjoy hands-on learning, STEAM activities, and conducting research about the unit topics. In addition, they cooperate and share their creativity and knowledge with one another. I have witnessed them being patient, compassionate, and understanding as they take turns using technology around the room. They are "mini teachers" as they exchange their thoughts and ideas while working cooperatively.

We are a close classroom family where learning brings us together and helps build character in life.

My Project

This project is collecting resources needed to teach virtually. Each of these items will allow me to facilitate quality lessons, increase teacher to student interaction, and increase student to student interaction. The document camera that is in this project will allow me to model for my fifth graders writing techniques, how to annotate texts, follow along with read alouds, and so much more. These resources are so important to help my students feel as though they are still connected to me and to each other during virtual learning. These supplies will help me reach my students in the most efficient way!

Now that my students have to learn outside of the classroom, I want to make sure that their learning resembles as much of in class learning as possible.

I need to make sure that my lessons are accessible to ALL students. These supplies are some of what I need to ensure success for my students during these unique times. It is a difficult adjustment for all teachers to adjust having our students on a virtual platform and these supplies will help me record lessons, model skills and make the experience the best I can for my students because they deserve nothing less!
