This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The latest school research on restorative justice in school has revealed that our environment can heal and restore. “An essential feature of healthy space but what is equally if not more beneficial is having a room with a view.
Views of nature, and longer views of people or objects in the distance, are found to reduce fatigue, help with physical healing, and support better outcomes of student learning (Heschong Mahone Group, Inc, October 2003).

A virtual reality headset will enable my students to escape the stresses of the day and embark on a healing journey. Restorative practices include what we see, hear, and experience. The VR will give my students that view of nature and the virtual environment needed to find emotional rest without leaving the building.
