This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love the small rural school that I teach in. and have been here for over 18 years. I love it here and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Being a small school we struggle to have the needed funds to provide all the tools and material that I know our students need and deserve.

Using a Meta Quest 3 VR in the classroom will allow me to dissect frogs and worms virtually before we actually dissect the organism itself.

The V.R. allows a whole new world to open up to my students. I have already tried out the application which allows students to virtually dissect a frog/worm which we currently do each year in class.

Frogs/worms are expensive. Having the ability for students to dissect these using the headsets would allow my students to see all internal structures of the frogs before they actually do it for real. This Meta Quest headset will drive excitement in each of my science classes and I know students will be begging to try it out. I know this is one of the largest request I have made on the platform, but the positive outcome will be worth it! Thanks for seeing our need and delivering.
