Virtual Reality to Expand Our Learning!

My Students

I have a great group of scholars who come from well-below the poverty level. Majority of the scholars that I teach seldom have the opportunity to travel. However, my scholars are eager to learn. When we use technology in the classroom, it helps them be engaged in their learning and excited to learn.

With my scholars' reading various reading level abilities, I do a lot of differentiation strategies and technology allows me to integrate more academics in the classroom to meet all of my scholar's skill levels.

My Project

The use of Virtual Reality goggles will give my scholars the opportunity to go on field trips that can create amazing adventures that will provide them with background knowledge that they can use in Social Studies, Science, and make connections during Reading class.

Virtual Reality goggles will give my scholars the chance to explore museums of the Oregon Trail, walk through museums that honor famous inventors and explorers, safely allow them to explore the inside of a volcano and visit places that they are only able to read about in a book.

Since we are a Title I school, I would like my scholars to experience this and help teach them as much as possible.
