Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 40 in total between both of my classes. They have great minds but their thoughts need to be guided, they might wonder in space a bit if you don't have planned an active and productive day.
We are the last class before going into middle school, so they know already that they have more responsibilities than in previous years.
All of them are curious, they want to know why everything happens.
My Project
Writing on the whiteboards with a marker is something from the past. Nowadays, you can use LCD writing boards which are easier and less messy. They will love the change of writing on an LCD board instead of a paper or a whiteboard. Something new and different usually means more motivation and this is something that they need the most right now.
With the Virtual Reality Glasses, there are plenty of resources about Science and History.
We can also do Virtual Field Trips without leaving the Classroom. There are some related to the 6.1 Standards that are amazing. It is something we can use as a reinforcement and a reward together. All in all my students and students to come in next years will benefit from it.
