My students need to know that technology is amazing, especially after Hurricane Irma! Lets make the students feel appreciated and allow them to explore Virtual Reality with the Virtual Reality System, which they normally would never get to use!

My Students
I have the best techie students who are full of energy and excited to learn about technology. They enjoy when we get creative, changing things up by doing class activities and projects that are hands-on. They are a pretty diverse group of kids with different backgrounds and cultures. My kids have the potential to be someone amazing when they grow up; they just need the extra resources and tools to accomplish it, especially the technology!
My school is an incredible charter school that cares about the students and teachers.
While they ensure the kids receive the necessary materials, we need some help, especially after Hurricane Irma, in ensuring they get extra resources that will let them have a more hands-on experience. When my students enter the room, I want them to be encouraged to strive for their best, continue to be enthusiastic and happy with STEM-related projects in tech class and have access to the latest technology that will inspire their future careers.
My Project
My awesome students need resources for our classrooms. We have computers in the technology lab but have limited technology. During class, we are limited to just using laptops and I would love to expand their use and understanding of technology. This is why I figured a Virtual Reality system would be beneficial and a great idea for a grant!
The Virtual Reality System is an attention grabber for students to love the technology world and the components and process can benefit STEM projects and other classes too.
It would be a thrill to access a piece of equipment that for most can only view on television.
If this project is funded I know it will make a difference to my students because it will inspire them to learn more about technology. It will also allow them the opportunity to do something productive and entertaining, rather than just playing a game. I personally think that this will really make the parents and students excited about our classroom projects because it is adding more creative technology to our classroom.
