Our middle school is located on Wheeler Army Airfield in Wahiawa, Hawai’i. It is a Department of Education school that serves the surrounding Wahiawa and Mililani communities. Approximately ninety-one percent of current students have at least one parent or guardian serving in the military. Therefore, the student body at our middle school is very transient due to families moving every two to three years.
Despite all of the transitions and challenges that come with being in middle school in general, my students are amazingly resilient.
They work hard and they rise up to any challenge. We teach our students the importance of having growth mindsets and my students show that everyday. Thank you for supporting my classroom and my amazing students!

Students are excited for science engagement more than ever and I am hoping these VR headsets would allow my students the opportunity to experience virtual reality field trips, as well as experiments.
