My Students
My students are awesome! They care deeply about everything that happens at school and home. We celebrate diversity with open arms. My students are filled with amazing energy, kindness, and enthusiasm. They work hard and are natural learners with keen powers of observation.
I am amazed at how different my students are!
Every single one of my students has integrity and a positive attitude. My goal is to educate, cultivate, and inspire all of my students academically and physically, and motivate them for future learning.
We are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey and looking forward to another school year and future. Our community is stronger with pride after Hurricane Harvey.
My Project
There are so many things that can be seen around the world that will help my students learn. Due to economic conditions it is unrealistic to be able to visit and experience exciting places and this is where virtual reality comes into play.
Virtual reality allows students to experience and visit so many places around the world without having to actually travel there.
I would love to be able to give my students the opportunity to broaden their view on the world. There are so many skills that the students can learn through virtual reality.
Using the devices requested, our goggles and Google Expeditions Kits, we will visit places such as Independence Hall, The Battle of the Alamo, the Civil War Battles, Apollo 13, and The Coral Reef. After visiting these places, we will be able to do so much in the classroom with our writing, science and math curriculum and state standards. Instead of reading about things, students can actually see the things they’re learning about. Being able to visualize complex functions or mechanisms makes them easier to comprehend.
