My Students

My students are thriving young performing artists. They are exploring all aspects of performance from music literacy, character development, solo performance, and ensemble experiences. Performing Arts experiences encourage collaboration.

Meeting students with 21st-century real-world learning opportunities is essential to providing relevance in a traditional performance ensemble.

I share this idea with my students often. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." ~Aristotle.

Our school is in the heart of a community that supports education and knows its value. Students are motivated and engaged. Students are eager to learn; they embrace a challenging work environment and express the desire to be the best in all endeavors.

My Project

The chorus and theater class experience has changed tremendously in the virtual setting. Public performances are not allowed however audiovisual presentations have been encouraged. As students continue to experience the many layers; and elements of production. Students will create marketing material and record individual virtual performances that will be digitally edited for a Youtube Premier.

Creating virtual performances, artistic posters, and developing the layout for the cast photos and artist statements that will be apart of the virtual performance are important elements to the overall production experience.

The material requested will help students to add a polished finish to their assignments.

As my students progress through performance-based classes, the requested material will allow digital productions and the marketing aspect of producing virtual performances accessible to students working in small groups. Arts courses receive limited funding. All items requested will help to support and enhance their overall experience.
