This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is new and my students are primarily low-income and Hispanic. Many students have fallen behind with the pandemic. Many families have chosen a virtual platform to continue their child's education. I have the opportunity to virtually teach math and science to around 140 students grades 3 through 5. The use of a touch screen laptop will allow me to write out math problems and draw diagrams and graphs with ease, draw diagrams and cycles to demonstrate science concepts, and display information in an easy to understand manner since my students are not able to see me face-to-face.
