Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work at a Title I school where many of the students are economically disadvantaged. These students are considered to be at risk of failing or living at or near poverty, primarily in the elementary grades. It is my goal to prevent them from being in that category and to have a future that looks bright and will expose them to new things outside of their world. I love that my students want to learn and experience new things and it is my job to provide them with their educational desires.
My Project
During the time of different ways of learning, many students are unable to have access to the books in the school library. Some of those students are virtual learners. This project will help students have additional online resources that can be accessed from any location.
Study.com is an online resource that students can use to research information for school projects.
The resources include animated videos on various topics and themes, video lessons with quizzes and printable worksheets.
An additional bonus to this great resource, is that Study.com provides its teachers with lesson plans, ideas and activities that can help students better understand the lessons for the week.
