This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in a primarily immigrant and working-class neighborhood in Los Angeles. My students come from very supportive families who are involved and care about helping their children with daily online assignments.
I am in BIG need of a laptop so that I'm able to project technology driven lessons and also post assignments.
Unfortunately right now, I'm using my school iPad as best as I can to project these video lessons and post assignments. It's really difficult to present my lessons in this manner. Students often say they can't see the whole screen or they need me to enlarge assignments. My school laptop is very old and outdated, l often have to have it plugged in all day to display lessons. I need to ensure my students learn the concepts and skills they need to succeed in 4th grade. A new laptop would really benefit my students. I have also applied to teach summer school! Therefore, I am in real need of this laptop. This way I can facilitate virtual lessons. Thank you for looking into my project! I truly appreciative for people like you!
