Virtual Learning

Help me give my students a successful first year of school where all of the foundation for learning will be built. With these materials I will be able to give my students a great learning experience.

My Students

My students are just now entering school as kindergarteners in the virtual world. As the first year of school it is very important for all students and being virtual it is even more important that students are getting the best education that they can get. My students are at the virtual academy that Guilford County has created for families that don't feel comfortable returning back to a brick and mortar school. As a virtual teacher in a low-income school system my 25 students are faced with many challenges and may not have the same opportunities for advanced learning experiences as others. Through meaningful activities, I am looking to expose my students to technology and other educational experiences that will increase their knowledge.

My Project

Teaching virtually is a new experience for me and my students. Sometimes while teaching it is hard for my students to see what I am trying to show them, with these materials it it is sometimes hard for my students to see the things that I am doing. With the document camera there will be an easier way for students. The materials will allow the students to see what different shapes look like. The whiteboard will allow for more traditional ways of teaching live lessons. These items will allow for a more successful teaching and learning experience.
