This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I've been teaching in my district for 23 years. I've been teaching Kindergarten for the past 19 years with mostly English Language Learners. I love teaching Kindergarten because the kids are still so excited about school, and I like to introduce new ideas and materials to them.
My hope from using DonorsChoose is that I can get the materials that my students need that will continue to grow their learning.
Even though this year is going to look different for us with virtual learning, my students and I will push forward with positive attitudes in the hopes we will be back in our classroom together again soon!
My Project
Although my students are back learning in person this year, there are several times I have had my class flipped back to remote learning due to positive cases of Corona Virus. When this happens, I have to teach part of my class virtually at their homes and the rest that are vaccinated, in person at school. I only have an iPad to teach from in my classroom.
I want the process of teaching remote to my students as well as my in person ones to run as smoothly as possible.
To be able to do this, I am asking for some tech supplies to make this easier to accomplish. I am asking for a keyboard, mouse and a variety of cables to hook the iPad up. Thank you for reading and considering my proposal!
