Help me give my students headphones, whiteboards and other supplies to help them with their virtual learning!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Schorse's classroom raised $631

My Students
I am a school social worker at an elementary school in an urban school district. My students come from diverse backgrounds. The majority of students at our school qualify to receive free or reduced-priced lunch.
Our students face many barriers to achieving academic success.
Many of our students face significant challenges, including experiencing or witnessing trauma. A lack of coping skills can lead to challenging behaviors that have to be addressed at school. Often our students need assistance with managing their self-control, anger-management, social skills, and self-esteem.
My Project
Virtual learning has been hard on students and families. Our attendance rate is down and we want to encourage our students to come to class every day and ensure they have the supplies they need to do so.
Students deserve the opportunity to fully engage in their learning
Students need the ability to tune out their environment and focus on what is being shared in class. Headphones will allow them to focus their attention on what is being shared in the class and cut down on the outside noise. They also need the chance to have materials that allow them interact with their class in a tangible way. The whiteboards will allow them to write answers during lessons and participate fully. This project allows students to continue to achieve academic success.
