My Students
My students are such a joy to have. They are amazingly talented and bright, and I am excited for this school year. They are destined to do great things, and this year will be one of the best. Some of my students need a little more motivation than others, however all are willing to learn and explore new things.
Despite all circumstances, my students deserve the best possible education.
With the right resources and materials, I know that my students can excel even more than they are now. With virtual learning things have been different, and I want to make sure I am providing them with all the materials and resources they need to be successful.
My Project
This school year has been very interesting and different. My second graders have spent their whole year online, and that will continue throughout the rest of the year. Throughout this year I've sent many supplies home to aid in their virtual learning experience. Whiteboards, markers, books, papers, pencils and many other things have been given out from our classroom. As the year comes to an end and a new one will begin those supplies will need to be replenished. Some of the materials sent home will not be returned or cannot be found, and these staple pieces are essential.
The different products I am requesting include whiteboards, a gift card to teachers pay teachers, an easel pad, a chapter book set, and clear sheet protectors.
The whiteboards are to replace the ones I gave out during virtual learning, and they are used a lot to quickly check my students understanding of different skills. They also replace using a lot of paper. The gift card from teacher pay teachers will be used to purchase supplemental material that will aid in different lessons. The easel pad will be used to make anchor charts, which are created for students reference different skills. The chapter books will be used for our reading small group time, as my kids have really enjoyed them.
The resources requested are a great tool, and I know future students will benefit as well. The materials used have helped in understanding confusing concepts and I know that with continued use throughout the years all the materials will be taken well care of. While I will try to get as many resources returned from my students, it is not guaranteed. To make sure these same supplies will be available next year, I would love to purchase these items now.
