This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited to be "back" in school and are ready to learn. I teach a Preschool for All Learners class. My students have developmental delays, with different strengths and abilities. They are a mixture of inquisitive minds and artistic talent, and just love to learn.

My Project

Having colorful visuals helps keep small children focused on the lessons. Some of my students are having a difficult time sitting for our virtual class. I am making lots of colorful visuals for their schedule, flashcards with the alphabet, numbers, their names, and anything that I can make to keep them engaged. I will be providing supply baggies full of educational materials such as laminated flashcards, writing aids (laminated worksheets to practice their writing skills), crayons, paper, glue sticks, and laminated picture schedules to get them used to the routine and get them involved in their learning from home.
