My Students

My class is an enthusiastic set of learners, eager to question everything and discuss new ideas. Their passion and excitement drives me to want to create more for them. I am always searching for new ways to make learning exciting and fun for them. My students are eager readers and love immersing themselves into a good story, whether through a read aloud or reading to themselves.

My Project

This year, my class has learned to adapt and pivot... constantly. However, I strongly feel that they should not need to adapt to low quality math instruction. I am currently struggling to present virtual lessons in a high quality way to my 100% virtual students. The use of this iPad and Apple Pencil will help to create better virtual visuals and examples for math instruction. As third graders, it is very important that students learn the "long way" of completing their math assignments by working through each and every step of a problem. In using these digital tools, I am confident that I will be able to model and thus teach these skills significantly better. In using online resources through Teachers Pay Teachers, I will be able to focus my time on presenting this quality instruction rather than "reinventing the wheel." Please help me, help my students learn!
