Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are passionate and enthusiastic. We study World History in my classroom. My students travel through time as we explore different cultures. From Greek philosophy to the French Revolution to WWII to regional case studies of China, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. We reach out to connect to the past to help shape our future.

My Project

One of the most exciting things about history is where those events took place. Imagine discussing the French Revolution and then walking the halls of the Palace of Versailles. The impact and the wonder that can have on a learner is immeasurable. With that thought, I want to set up stations that allow students to visit the sites where history happened. Taking them on flights around the world may not always be reasonable, but inspiring them to see the world is, which is why I want to get these virtual headsets to make history jump off the page.
