This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very intelligent and special. They come from various low-income backgrounds. I have 2 special needs students that are in my class 1/2 a day so they can transition back into the regular classroom setting. My students are bright, creative, fun, and very smart. The neighborhood around the school might not be the best, but our class supports our students and the community as best we can to meet their educational and social needs. To know my class is to love them. My students are resilient and hoping for the best after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

My Project

My project is one that will inspire students through advanced technology and S.T.E.M.

Virtual reality field trips and virtual learning are scientifically proven to increase student learning.

We are limited on school funds so our field trips are cut at this moment. The next best thing is to take them on a virtual experience around the globe. A trip on a bus limits us to the city we are in; using the requested Google Expeditions Kit would transport the students remotely allowing us to visit places these students may never see in their lifetime. PLEASE help me introduce my students to the world.
