My Students
I am so fortunate to work in a school for students with severe disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy and down syndrome to learning disabilities and high functioning autism. These students do not let their disability hinder their abilities!
Our students are absolutely amazing!
As a school, we focus on empowering all students to move into their future with as much independence as possible. We do this by teaching life skills and providing vocational studies to every student in the building.
We showcase each students intelligence, talents, and endurance in many ways. Many of our students enjoy performing and using their natural talents, like singing, dancing, and/or playing musical instruments!
My Project
Help my students go on a virtual field trip anywhere in the world and experience it as if they were actually there!
Using the Oculus Quest, my students will have the ability to travel in ways they may be unable to in real life; walking, running, flying.
My students will be able to see, hear, and observe their surroundings on virtual field trips throughout the school year. We will use our school's themes to choose new trips each month.
We can bring learning to life using the Oculus Quest to expand upon topics, themes and individual student interests.
