This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This is my 15th year in education and my experiences have taught me a lot about middle school students and no matter where you go, many things will remain the same. They have all helped me grow to become the teacher leader that I am. Middle school is a pivotal time in a students life and although, they are my students, they also need emotional stability with sound advice and most of all, they still need to know that someone cares about them. I love what I do and I love seeing the possibility that exudes in their excitement, sadness, challenged, and high spirits. It fuels me every single day.

My Project

My project is an annual one that can only maximize the experience I have with my students this year. Using both monitors and having the accessibility to print materials will benefit my students greatly. With this capability, I cam see my students on one monitor and present my lessons on the other. This will maximize the time I spend with them each day. This will also help me to collaboratively plan with my team on a daily basis. It is difficult to have an effective meeting or work with my students when I can’t see them simultaneously.
