Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We’re heading to see The Nutcracker ballet, and to extend the learning and joy, I’m planning a Nutcracker-themed VIP event for students who made significant gains on their reading assessments. This celebration is designed to reward their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to becoming stronger readers.

With your support, students will enjoy: A “Nutcracker Toss” game, where students will toss to win a prize — a festive and interactive way to celebrate along with goody bags filled with Nutcracker-themed treats like stickers, small toys, and a keepsake wooden Nutcracker ornament and special prizes such as drawstring bags, cozy socks, Nutcracker-themed bracelets, and stockings they can color themselves — all for working hard to make gains with their learning!

These joyful touches bring learning and celebration together in a way students will remember. For many of my students, these events serve as powerful motivation and recognition that their efforts are noticed and celebrated.
