This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The cost of playing an instrument can sometimes be burdensome for families, as the cost of supplies and replacement accessories can be more than some families can afford.

Violin bows are a consumable/disposable item that have a shelf life several years with proper care, and require replacement eventually when sound quality is impacted.

Bows start to lose hair due to frequency of use and environmental factors (climate conditions). Once enough hair is lost, a total replacements is needed.

That is why it is so important for orchestra directors like myself to have extras on hand and available so that no one goes without.
