This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our middle school students are on a mission to read! We would love to add these books to our non-fiction section of our library. Our goals are to learn about people who inspire us and to learn new skills. These titles were chosen based on student requests.

Our student population is very diverse.

Many of our students come from low income households, varied ethnic backgrounds, and speak several languages. The library is a place where we encourage our students to read widely. By fulfilling students' requests for books, we will create life-long learners.
