Viking Student/Athlete Learning Center

My Project

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of our student-athletes at SHS to request support in establishing a dedicated learning center for them. As a Title I school, many of our athletes come from households that lack access to a quiet place to study or the necessary supplies to succeed academically.

A structured study hall is essential for their success, not just on the field but in the classroom.

Many of our athletes face challenges in balancing their coursework with their athletic commitments, and without a proper study space, their academic performance can suffer. A learning center would provide them with a supportive environment where they can focus on their studies, receive academic assistance, and develop time-management skills that will benefit them beyond high school.

To make this vision a reality, we are seeking donations of essential supplies, including chairs, pens, sharpies, and highlighters, to ensure our student-athletes have the tools they need to succeed. Any contribution, whether in the form of supplies or financial support, would make a significant impact in helping us create an environment where our athletes can thrive academically.

We deeply appreciate any support you can provide and would love the opportunity to discuss this further. Please let us know if you would be willing to partner with us in this effort to empower our student-athletes both in the classroom and in their athletic endeavors.
