My Project

My third graders walk into the classroom each day full of energy, curiosity, and a growing love of learning. At this age, they are developing critical skills in reading, writing, and math, but they learn best when they can see, touch, and interact with what they’re being taught.

Right now, many of our lessons rely on traditional tools that don’t always capture the attention of 8- and 9-year-olds.

With a ViewBoard, I’ll be able to turn everyday instruction into engaging, hands-on experiences that meet students where they are and keep them excited to learn.

With this technology, my students will be able to do the following: Come up to the board to solve math problems, sort words, and show their thinking in real time; practice reading skills by highlighting text, identifying story elements, and interacting with digital books. Students can also explore science and social studies through videos, diagrams, and interactive activities that make big ideas easier to understand. We can also work together as a class, building teamwork and communication skills.

Third graders are at a pivotal point in their education. They are transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn. An interactive whiteboard will help support all learners, especially those who need extra visual or hands-on support to grasp new concepts.
